Nowadays companies need to look for any edge they can get while trying to market and sell their product. Many companies look to put a funny spin on their advertisements, or they look to enhance their commercial in any way possible. One of the major industries that use advertisements to persuade customers is the food industry. I choose to use one of Gatorade's commercial because of how Gatorade is such a major beverage all around us. Just walking around school there isn’t a day that goes by that I don’t see a water bottle or any Gatorade product in someone's hand. The reason for this is because Gatorade has a great ability to present Gatorade as a mainstream product that everyone should use. The commercial shows Cam Newton’s downfall in the Super Bowl and showed how many began to doubt Cam Newton’s ability on the field (00:00-00:28. As the commercial continues it then shows Cam Newton putting in hard work on and off the field to get back to his MVP form (:33-0058).. This shows his hard work and how much dedication he has even though he is doubted by many. At the end of the commercial it finally shows Cam Newton ready to get back on the field and start his season off against the Bronco’s (1:27-1:40) . This creates ethos by presenting their spokesperson Cam Newton as someone who people should look up to because of his determination. Gatorade choose to not list any health facts to go along with its advertisements because many of the health facts about gatorade do not go in its favor. Gatorade advertises it as a drink that anyone can drink and even though its advertisements have athletes drinking they don’t market the drink to just athletes. In reality Gatorade is a drink that if consumed should only be consumed during sports which Gatorade should make well known. Gatorade should begin to include a message at the end of each advertisement that says this drink should only be consumed while playing sports. In the end Gatorade not using logos is a smart business move on them but a move that is wrong
