The actions Gilgamesh presented in the beginning portrayed him as a bad king. According to the book, “A Verse Narrative Gilgamesh” by Herbert Mason there are behaviors that prove Gilgamesh was a bad King. For example, he was granted the privilege of sleeping with the groom brides before the were permitted. This is unbelievable, just because he the king, he was able to do what his heart desire. He was very privilege. The next action was, he pushed his people half to death with work rebuilding the Uruk walls then disregard it for a few months to decay and rebuild again. This shows that he obviously had nothing better to do, but boss people around. This also proves that he was very selfish and did not do a great job at taking care of his people,
