Two different reading strategies were mentioned above for students with ADHD. Ostoits (1999) created reading strategies to help promote students’ progress in reading, such as quiet reading, small work group, and the use of graphic organizer, story mapping, and the students having the opportunity to move around. When compare to “Headsprout Reading Basic” the difference are that “Headsprout Reading Basic” is a computerized reading program. The students are given individualized practice and instruction that they need, instilling reading fundamental by teaching it to the students’ one step at a times. The similarities among these programs it can be said that both have the same goals for the students and that is for the students to increase academically in reading. If I was to implement one of these programs it will be Ostoits (1999) reading strategies, this strategies are more concrete and students self-monitoring, and students are able to do it on their own pace. I am not opposed to computer based program they can definitely help in many academics areas, but when we talk about a student with ADHD, computers at time can be an easily distraction for the students. As it was said before, ADHD students have difficulty concentrating and I think that if too much stimulus is given through the use of computer they can easily be out of task. There are students that might not be able to sit for too long on a computer and might not have the facility to move around, because they might easily lose the activity that they were doing on the computer, since at times computer shut down by itself and students might have to start all over again, and it will be a frustration to the
