“And you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” (John 8:32 ESV) The first, and only, similar immoral actions acted upon by both Abigail and Elizabeth is their behaviors of telling lies. However, what separates their dishonesty is the reasons why they lied. While Elizabeth lied to protect her husband, for the hopes of saving him, all while protecting the town, Abigail lied in hopes of saving herself, and never once speculated how her words would thoroughly impact others. “You shall not bear false witness against your neighbor" (Exodus 20:16 ESV) When it comes to Abigail, this is most certainly is not a code of conduct she knows how to follow considering how many neighbors she falsely accused of wrongdoings. Abigail throughout
