One can debate that Abigail Williams is the most diabolical character in Arthur Miller’s play The Crucible. The best way to describe Abigail is manipulative, selfish, a murderer, a liar, and many more. For starters, when the reader first meets Abigail, she is being confronted by her uncle, Reverend Parris, on whether or not she was dancing in the forest. She hasn’t said a single line of dialogue before she starts lying, saying that no one was naked and they were dancing for the sake of dancing.
