Abigail Williams Play Analysis

I went to the Abigail play, at the Aurora theatre. This play takes place ten years after the Salem witch trials, the main character is Abigail Williams, who’s trying to seeks salvation and started a new life, however is still haunted her cruel past. This play is a sequel to Arthur Miller’s “The Crucible”, recreating the Salem witch trials, which focused on an individual's circle of paranoia and mistrust, on the subject of principles and convictions. This play is about Abigail Williams, who is played Diany Rodriguez, living under a new identity and a new name. From watching this play, Abigail acting was very believable. Each actor was able to bring the character to life through the used of body movement, detail facial, and bodily expressions, which would capture the audience attention. They also used some of the essential tools when portraying their role, such as using their own experiences and techniques, form which they are most famous for.
Since this is a sequel, and I haven’t watched the original play of “the Crucibles”, I was confused on what this play was about at first. However, based on what I have seen, all of the actors did a fantastic job. Each actor was truly believable to the type of character they want to portray while off and onstage. Even though the scripts direct what actors suppose to say, it’s mostly the connection and trust between actors that give the play life. Another thing I noticed in this play is the use of music, such as the creepy and eerie sound effect. In a play, music is the rhythm that accompanies by the dialogue in the background. It can also be in the form of a musical or an orchestra through the mean the aspects of the melody
