SHOULD ABORTION BE LEGAL?

Abortion should not be legal because the killing of a human being is wrong. Abortion is considered murder. I disagree with the option of aborting the unwanted babies. If women become pregnant, they should accept the responsibilities that comes with producing a child, abortion reduces the number of adoptable babies, also the killing of a human being is wrong.

Abortion is considered murder. The killing of a human being is wrong and unborn babies are considered human being by the US. ‘‘The Federal Unborn Victims of Violence Act was enacted to protect unborn babies from assault and murder.’’( Unborn Victims of Violence Act of 2004) This quotation from the Act protects the rights of the unborn babies that cannot defend themselves. Instead of the option of aborting the babies women should give their unwanted babies to people who cannot conceive. ‘‘ The percentage of infants given up for adoption decreased from a 9% to a 1 percent between the years of 1996 and 2002.’’ (National Center for Health Statistics) This is happening for the lack of women giving their unwanted babies for adoption, which would be a better option instead of the one of killing the babies. Around 2.6 million women were trying to adopt children between the same years the rate of given up children for adoption decreased. There is a lot of women out there who would give anything to have a child, while other women just decide to kill them because they do not want them. Is more likely for women who are denied the abortion to be unemployed or to be on public welfare. The solution for this would be to give up the baby for adoption if they know they won’t be able to take care of the baby or they simply do not want it. I believe giving up the unwanted babies for adoption is a great alternative for the babies whom have the right to a good life, with a loving
