I believe that I’m more of an absolutist than a relativist. I think this because, a relativist believes that opinions are true; an absolutist believes that opinions may be true. For instance, a relativist might state “the holocaust never happened”, the relativist believes that his or her opinion is the true opinion in despite of all evidence presented to them. If an absolutist stated “the holocaust never happened” they could believe in the statement, but an absolutist is aware that there opinion may not be true. I believe, that my opinions aren’t always correct, since I once believed that sleep was not important in your life, until I discovered that sleep is an essential part for a healthy lifestyle. Another reason why I believe that I’m a absolutist and not a relativist, is because a relativist believes that there are no wrong answers; take for example abortion. In addition to this, relative moral truth does not apply to every person equally. For example, relativist may believe that God does not exist, the statement does not affect a Christian who believes in God. Relative moral truth can be summed up as “true for you, not for me.” Absolute moral truth is right, since God gave us certain moral truths. For example, the ten commandments. If society all of a sudden does not like the ten commandments, the commandments don’t become wrong since a group of people decided there wrong; absolute moral truth is always true no matter the circumstances. For this reason absolute moral truth is right. In addition, absolute moral opinions may not be always true, this means that there are many wrong answers, for this reason there are many debates if God
