The Achaemenid empire was held together by elements such as: a strong law, a good ruler known as Darius, and a vast connection of roads. Laws were created so that the civilization had rules that were in place. Laws were made by the government. Laws such as using money of Darius faces on a coin to laws of allowing different races and religion to be supported. After Darius took control of new land, he did not make any of his captives slaves. He allowed them to be free and dress however they are pleased. His society spoke many languages and supported cultural differences. Although his people could do many things, they still had to pay their taxes to keep the society to live and thrive. His society was gigantic, so they were widely spreaded out.
