Assignment: Write a 2-page summary of the following: 1) SMART goals, 2) Action plan to correlate with goals, and 3) Mission statement.
Smart Goal: I will write 5 new songs by March 1.
Action Plan: To meet this goal that I set out, I will adhere to the following schedule that I have set forth:
1. By November 15, I will have set out five different topics/ideas that I want to write about. This needs to include all brainstorming and even catchy phrases or deep theological ideas. I would like at least one of these songs to include a few very important social injustices that are plaguing the globe.
2. By November 30, I need to begin to put some tunes together. This needs to include a basic chord chart for both the verses and chorus. I need to work on a memorable melody line for these songs. A rough recording with the guitar or piano needs to be laid down for reference later.
3. By January 1, I would like to have all of my lyrics completed for 2 songs (knowing the holidays are throughout the month of December). With this, I need to a rough recording of these songs.
4. By February 1, I would like to have all of my lyrics completed for the remaining 3 songs. With this, I need to a rough recording of these songs.
5. By March 1, I need to have all of my lyrics finalized. Then, I need to finalize all music for the lyrics. Lastly, I need to get down some solid recordings with as many instruments as possible to make a reasonably decent demo for distribution.
Mission Statement: My mission is to create songs that will bring praise and worship to God for all that He’s done for myself and bring to light what He’s done for others.
Smart Goal: By March 1, I will find at least one new family to encourage to be involved in orphan care/ministry, either by being foster parents or adoptive parents.
Action Plan: To meet this goal that I set out, I will adhere to the following schedule that I have set forth:
1. By December 1, I need to be actively meeting with people from the Department of Child Services within my county, any non-profit of faith-based adoption agencies that may be able to serve my county, state, or region of the country, and any adoption or foster care associations within my county.
