The Cycle of Addiction Drugs range from a variety of sorts; pharmacy pills, alcohol, heroin, crystal meth, the list goes on. The question is; what draws people into doing drugs? The majority of people who have abused medication started out with something as simple as cigarettes. Why try cigarettes? Why would anyone do such a thing? Some are led into it by peer pressure. Others by stress or depression, or just because they were curious. One addicted, it is just an afternoon thing. One very small guilty pleasure to do on the side. Then it becomes an everyday thing, and it escalates from there. You begin to ask yourself.
“What is next? What’s more I can do?” Unlike cigarettes and alcohol, you can not simply walk into your local pharmacy and by a dime of weed or any other illegal drug. The process of obtaining illegal drugs is a gamble at itself, not to mention that drugs are usually expensive.

Drugs in the present day are causing people to make bad choices and bad decisions. Drugs aren’t necessarily making people do things that aren’t right, but make it so that people don’t think straight. When people don’t think straight they tend to make wrong choices. When people make wrong choices, it usually puts people around them in danger. Depending on the substances they are taking, people lose their stable mind and begin to question what is real and what is not. In which leads into wanting more. It is normal for people to try to reduce their pain so there is nothing essentially wrong if someone is trying to reduce their emotional pain. A person experiencing severe emotional wounding or anxiety is extremely vulnerable and will do whatever they can to block
