May it please the court. I want you too close your eyes and think. Think back to this day six weeks ago. What can you remember? Can you remember who you had a conversation with? Do you remember what you had for lunch? Do you remember where you were? I am unable to, I do not remember who I talked to, I do not remember what I had for lunch, and the chances are you can not either. This case is based on a sole testimony of one man who had to remember six weeks back to what happened on the 13th of January. As you already know on this day Adnan's ex-girlfriend Hae Min Lee went missing. My client Adnan Syed has been accused of murdering her, but there is no evidence in this case that proves beyond reasonable doubt that Adnan Syed murdered Hae Min Lee.
There has been a lot the prosecution have not told you, they have ignored the fact that Jay Wild changed his story. In the first interview with police he was in the interview room for an hour before they decided to start recording what he had to say, so imagine how much crucial evidence he may have told the police in that hour. Can you remember what I opened this argument with? Can you remember all of the points that I used to prove beyond reasonable doubt that my client is innocent? I do not think so. Just encase here are the reason that prove beyond reasonable doubt that my client Adnan Syed didn't murder Hae Min Lee. Jay Wild the sole testimony in this case to convict my client has changed his story three times, he has concealed evidence from the police and he knew where Hae Min Lee's car was. There is no physical evidence linking Adnan to the murder of Hae. We also have a problem with the time frame in which this happened. So all of these points come together to prove that there is no evidence beyond reasonable doubt that my client Adnan Syed, murdered Hae Min
