Conviction is for an adult and that means you have a criminal record

Found Guilty is for both adults and youth, you been found guilty for an offence and it is on your record for a short period of time. Adult means that you have it on your record for a short period of time. Youth are NEVER found guilty.

Alternative measures may be used to deal with a person alleged to have committed an offence only if it is not inconsistent with the protection of society and the following conditions are met.
- Is it good for the offender? Is it good for the society? And is it a good program? Is it good for the victim?
-Does the person agree to the program?
-They have the right to talk to a lawyer to see if its for their best interests
-Accept responsibility
-Making sure there is sufficient evidence to go to trial
-Whatever you did has to be a criminal offence

Restriction on Use
-Alternative measures shall not be used to deal with a person alleged to have committed an offence if the person -Denies participation or involvement in the commission of the offence; or -Expresses the wish to have any charge against the person dealt with by the court.
