Family is everything to me, the environment that I was raise was no thanks to my mom and dad. They sacrifice everything to move all the way to America, home to all the opportunities and freedom that people take for granted. My dad was lucky enough to cross all the way to America with his family when they had the chance. My mom in the other hand had to marry a complete stranger in order to come to America. She left her home, her family and friends, simply everything to go across the globe. Vietnam isn't really what you see in pictures, it's a poor environment that lacks everything needed. My mom knew that because she experience just that and didn't want to her children to go through what she went through. It took them years to adapt and grow, learning an entire new language and culture, raising a family, jobs coming and going, and now my mom being the only source of income for quite sometime is always something.
Currently my family is scrambled everywhere, mom's side is all the way in
Vietnam and only way of communication is through a small screen. My dad's side is scattered here and there, but at least we still get to see them from time to time. I can't say I lived in my house my whole life, I moved here when I was about four-years-young. It's not the biggest house or the most fanciest
