In my opinion affluenza is a socially transmitted condition that has infected the American society tremendously. Everyone seeks to have the “American Dream” and this causes our society to undergo this condition. People desire to be more successful, wealthy, and keep up with any other trends in society. Chasing these trends and finally obtaining them leaves people to continue to feel unfulfilled and want to seek more wealth. We pride ourselves qon what wqe can show off to the world like our possessions and riches and the world around us made this idea seem normal. This condition affects the friendships that we have, our family, community and even our pockets. To avoid having this issue we need to look away from being a slave to material things
