Sports and media brought comfort to different parts in history because it brought attention to everyone, regardless of race, with things everyone enjoyed. At the museum, I learned about achievements that African Americans accomplished with the use of sports and media. In the “Sports:Leveling the playing field exhibit” they had a statue of the black power salute in the Olympics. I learned that this was a peaceful form of protesting and was effective because it was broadcasted on national television. This is an example of how sports and media impacted different movements.
