The causes and effects of african slavery took place around 1440-1640, and the result was that african americans worked as the best slaves. African Slavery was caused because finding new land for expanding European empires required something important, a work force. Most people had proved unreliable, and europeans were unsuited to the climate, and suffered tropical diseases. But africans were the most excellent workers. They had experience of farming, they were used to a tropical climate, and they could be worked very hard in farms or mines.

They knew how to farm, and they had resistance for disease. Plus, they were in the tropics, so it was harder to farm because of the different climate. There was also some diseases in the tropics, like malaria. But, they could easily escape because they don’t stick out.

African Americans however, had resistance to most diseases, like malaria, and they also had knowledge of farming that other natives had not. Their knowledge of the land was limited, so they were lost if they tried to run away. Also, if they ran away, they would not blend in because they were different. They were used to the climate, so they didn’t catch any tropical diseases. They did not cost much money, and they were very affordable. They only downside is they cost money, but they didn’t cost a lot of monney. African slaves were the best to have work on farms.
