Although ageism (discrimination) is an issue in the book, Night, It is also a current issue today. For one thing, “doctors often talk past the senior patient to an adult child as if the senior wasn’t even in the room” (Alexandra 2015). This is wrong because the Elder or senior could know the full real story when the adult child only knows a part of it. To point out, “commercial advertisements depict seniors as out of date, and lacking knowledge about modern culture and new technologies” (Alexandra, 2015). This is a problem because the seniors will be treated like the commercial from other people, this will make people and allow them to think it is okay when it is not.
