The US Air Force is constantly changing to adapt with new challenges around the globe every day. In the heart of the USAF, Airmen play a critical role in achieving missions on a day-to-day basis. The phrase, “Mission first, people always” is well-known within the force, indicating that it is essential to take care of our Airmen. Therefore, the responsibility lies heavily on supervisors to guide their Airmen toward a successful path of developing future leaders. Furthermore, creating fun and engaging activities for them and their families could also improving the morale for the squadron. One of the most important tasks for supervisors is taking care of Airmen. Most of younger Airmen are still developing their habits and interests; therefore, it is critical for supervisors to guide them toward the right path, ensuring their future success. Since everyone has their own dominant color lenses (from the four lenses), it is extremely easy for supervisors to be blind-sided with other type of lenses beside their own. Thus, supervisors should be open-minded, and try to understand how their Airmen think, and use that as a tool to maximize their potential. Although work schedule could be hectic at times, find some free time to plan for an offsite, where most (if not all) people in the work center could attend with their families to relieve some stress in the workplace. Happy and energetic Airmen should get the mission done more effectively, and potentially save time for the unit as a whole.
