The authors used data collected from two large scale studies to determine if the use of the SimCalc program contributed significantly to learning gains in high school Algebra II classes located in southeast Massachusetts and if such learning gains could be sustained when the initial study was duplicated. The SimCalc program consisted of integrated representational software, connectivity hardware, and technology-enhanced curriculum.
