In this experiment, I will test the effect of temperature on reaction time for Alka-Seltzer dissolving tablets. Experiment one uses room temperature water, experiment two, hot water, and experiment three, ice water. In order to determine the effect of the water temperature, I will need to record the time it takes for the Alka-Seltzer to dissolve completely.
Room Temperature Water:
Fill a clear glass with exactly 8 oz. of room temperature
Use a thermometer to read and document the temperature of the water on a data sheet with your other tests.(make sure to properly label the temperatures.
Add1 Alka-Seltzer tablet into the water.
Measure the time it takes for the tablet to be completely dissolved.
Record the time.
