Take a moment and think back several years to a mile stone that we all cherish-Kindergarten Graduation. Most of what everyone remembers from kindergarten is snack time and nap time; while these activities are important, they are not part of the bigger picture. In the book, All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, Robert Fulghum brought to our attention the many simple lessons that we are taught in kindergarten pertain to everyday lives of individuals. Though we live in a complex world, simplicity can be key. Kindergarten lessons like “put things back where you found them”, “play and work some everyday”, and “hold hands and stick together” are all major importance’s in life. Looking into the book, All I Really Need to Know I Learned in Kindergarten, individuals should be able to make connections between the lessons and national laws. “Play and work some everyday”, “live a balanced life”, “play fair”, and “watch for traffic” can all be vital in your everyday life. To make a living in life we all have to work and contribute to our society. We have to work for everything we earn, especially items that we want. But at the same time, we have to make sure that we do not get lost in all the work. We have to enjoy life also. So, find something that you love and fix that into your schedule. I believe in the saying “better people equal a better world.” We should all live by the easy words of: “Put things back where you found them”, “hold hands and stick together”, “learn, think, draw, paint, sing, dance a little”, “sharing”, and “clean up your own mess”.
