To begin with, after watching the anti-war movie “All Quiet on the Western Front” directed by Delbert Mann. I can overall conclude that the movie in my opinion was indeed a believable recreation of the lives of German men who had been enlisted to perform at war during World War 1. The reason why I claim that the movie was an accurate representation of the lives of German men during World War 1 was simply because the director was able to get his actors that he hired to portray their character roles correctly through their emotions. Also,because the the movie was created to be exactly like the horrific time period of World War 1.

Also,the location that it was filmed in and the music that played throughout the movie connected well with the scenes. In addition, it raises awareness to show people who are watching the overall brutality of war. It also does not fail to show how different war is from the old time period till now such as how equipment evolved and the training of troops. However, a weakness that the film has can be overwhelming the viewer with emotion. This can be a good thing but it can also be a downfall because it can distract the viewer from discovering the overall theme of the movie.
