Alvin Ailey an award winning dancer was born January 5th, 1931 in Rogers Texas. He started to make history within the industry with his beautifully created choreo and his entrepreneurship .Alvin Ailey became one of the leading figures in 20th century for modern dance. Because of that Ailey created two facilities based around his love for dance. after he reached the climax of his career shorty after Ailey died on December 1st, 1989 .Although he departed his legacy and work continues to inspire and impact other dancers today.

In the year 1988 Ailey was honored the Kennedy king award on December 4, for his phenomenal dancing-techniques,and producing he was one out five people to receive this award from the 35th U.S president John F. Kennedy
