The story chosen is called Winters dreams by Scott F. Fitzgerald. There is one word that could ruin our lives or even kill us if we are not careful. That word is ambition. Dexter in the story is not an ambitious no only because he wants to be like the wealthy people at the golf club. It is because he wants to be with Judy Jones, a girl in which he fell in love the moment he saw her. Throughout the story, we are always reminded that there is nothing "merely in the boy." So this means that he could never be like those rich people. Dexter is hopeful as he compares the money with the elegant and high life of the people at the golf club. For Dexter making money is his goal in his life. His other goal is to start his own family and to leave behind
