Amendments are created in order to clarify and ensure peoples rights; and to usually make people’s lives better and easier. Throughout history, many aspects of everyday life has been developed and improved and a big part of that, was diversity. Diversity has become a large concept that has been constantly changing since it had become a problem (for example, times such as slavery when people were being treated unfairly and unequally) .One of the factors in history that helped increase awareness of variety was the very First Amendment of the Constitution. It specifically states: “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof; or abridging the freedom of speech, or of the press; or the right of the people peaceably to assemble, and to petition the Government for a redress of grievances.” (Find Law: For Legal Professionals) Having that amendment in the Constitution guarantees to the people of the United States of America, a law would not be passed by Congress that says that everyone has to follow a certain religion. …show more content…
With this amendment, the citizens of this country, have the right to fight for what they believe in against the government, and say their opinions and belief while not being restricted and censored. This amendment is favored a lot, yet the Democratic Party is trying to rewrite it because they dislike the idea of businesses spending their own money on expressing their own political view.
