America has given a humongous gift to my generation. As mentioned in The Declaration of Independence, we and our posterity have the rights to life, liberty, and the pursuit of happiness, but these rights didn’t happen easily. On October 19 in 1781, after years of war and bloodshed, the British finally surrendered in Yorkshire, Virginia. The gift to not only to our generation and the ones before and the ones which will follow, is the gift of our 3 basic rights as mentioned before. All the gifts that follow in our long history are based on these unalienable rights. After The Declaration of Independence and our win over Britain, our Founding Fathers wrote our Constitution.
