The question that was given to me is “what are your thoughts on the American Flag?” what I think of the Flag is that its ideals that the flag was made for is not around anymore for these reasons. One, the idea that the flag is a symbol of freedom is embellished now a day’s. The reason I say this is because of all the occurrences that have happened lately in the world like the government that have thought of keeping foreign people out of our states, knowing that there are some foreign people wanting to hurt our nation but they didn’t say it’s just them they are incorporating all foreign people in that equation as if they are all bad. An example is a young Arabian boy built a makeshift potato powered clock for a science project for school when he walked in he was reported to the authorities for carrying a bomb and was arrested, just because of his foreign background he was suspected as a terrorist which I …show more content…
This reason is because the definition of liberty is to be free and away from oppressive restrictions but their isn’t. Americans have to endure bullying, racism, discrimination, poverty, and other acts of oppress. An example is during 2015 a club in Miami was shot up by a man because it supported homosexuality. And in the 60’s discrimination of black’s took place in America by segregating them. Along with the lie of no oppression freedom is also a hoax. The reason I say this is because even though the government says we are free we really aren’t. One reason is there are laws in this “free” country that restrict us from doing acts, yes given that there are laws to keep from chaos but some laws are not needed. One example is in mort Meyers Florida a man was breaking into an old woman’s home and out of self-defense shot and killed him but she was convicted for murder because he was a minority.
