The American holistic nurses association (AHNA) aim is to promote education for nurses in restoring patient live and provide quality care. Holistic nursing provide comfort and healing including approach to healthcare that involves the mind body and spirit as well .AHNA allows holistic nurses to use variety of methods in patient healing , in addition to the skills they learned when they in nursing school. Most of the time people do not realize that it can also help the nurse to have a more stable lifestyle with self-actualization. As nurses view their role in the movement toward complementary modalities and integrative care, it is suitable for them to examine the American Holistic Nurses standards practice (ahana .org). AHNA is a nationwide organization dedicated in bringing inspiration, holism, compassion, science to nursing practice with specific objective to bring nurses together in healing .The organization supports the nursing practice, provides comfort, emotional and spiritual support to patient and family. The AHNA provides nurses with knowledgeable information to provide quality patient care. The general welfare of a person depends on the health of the mind, body, and spirit.
