Another name for the American Revolution is , the War Of Independence. This battle took place between 1775-1785. The American Revolution was a war between 13 British colonies and their mother country, England. In the End, the Victorians of this battle were the 13 British colonies , who later named themselves the United States of America. This victory was a surprise to many. We all ask ourselves, How much change occurred in the American Revolution? The American Revolution was radical because of Economic, Political , and Social needs.

Before , and in the beginning of the was slaves didn't have many rights , some didn't even have any rights. During the war slaves began to be rebellious and stared to destroy statues , all of their actions caused their confidence to go up ( Doc 1 , La Destruction de la Statue Royale, Andre Bassett, 1770's). Slowly over the time , slavery began to abolish ( Doc 5, Abolition, Leanf Litwack, 1777-1865). Some citizens wanted to help improve African intelligence ( Doc 6 , Valediction of New York Free School , History of New York African Free School, 1819). Not only were the slaves rebellious , but so were the women. Women started standing up for their rights.(Doc 7 , Abigail Adams, Abigail Adams , March 31,1776). The Indians also after the were happy because they got their new rights that were equal (Doc 9,Northwest Ordinance , no author , 1787). A document was also created , The Declaration Of Independence, to show the government that all men are created with equal rights , and they should all be treated equally ( Doc 2 , " We hold these truths...",Thomas Jefferson, July 4,1776). There also was another document , 19 Amendment, which stated that all citizens have a right to vote , no matter what sex (gender) (Doc 8, 19 Amendment , Unknown Author , 1970).
