In my research paper I will be talking about the important of this Aminoglycosides Antibiotic. I will talk about what can harm may cause to an Individual. I will give a brief definition of the medication, which was first to make the medication and what it cures. I will also explain how the medication is taken, can it be taken orally or by injection By writing this paper I hope I caught your interest and helped an individual get an idea of what this medication can do for an individual when time need to recover from illness (Cough cough). So before I get in to detail let me give the reader a brief definition of what aminoglycosides mean. Aminoglycosides are a group of antibiotics that are used to treat certain bacterial infections. This group of antibiotics includes at least eight drugs: Amikacin, Gentamicin, Kanamycin, neomycin, netilmicin, paromomycin, streptomycin, and tobramycin. All of these drugs have the same basic chemical structure.
Who created this antibiotic and where the word antibiotic came from? The word antibiotic came from Greek. Anti mean “against: and Bio means “life”. Dr. Selman A. Waksman, soil microbiologist, suggested the noun Antibiotic in 1942.
Aminoglycosides carries more than one antibiotic, I will explain each detail of antibiotic and what can help an individual to feel better and what can harm to individual,
The first antibiotic is Gentamicin, Gentamicin is a generic brand, the name brand for this antibiotic is called Garamycin, now your asking your self what is Garamycin, well let me tell you Garamycin is Antibiotic that fight bacteria in the body. Garamycin is treatment for severe or serious bacterial infections. The only way to take this antibiotic is by Injection and it should be injected by supervision or an individual can learn how to be injected by healthcare provider.
Now most of you might be concern what kind a side effects Garamycin have well it can cause damage to the kidneys and nerves. If an individual experience hearing loss, dizziness, numbness, skin tingling, muscle twitching or seizures that it can be a sign of nerve damage. The question that is asked can this antibiotic be taken with other drugs and the answer is NO, no vitamins, mineral or herbal she is taken before talking to a doctor. Now here brief on when not use this antibiotic if women is pregnant is recommended to talk to a doctor and also a women is concern about breast feeding she may talk to her doctor of options that can take care of this situation.
The next antibiotic that connected with Aminoglycosides is called Tobramycin (Injection) the brand name Tobranycin Sulfate ADD-Vantage. This antibiotic can fight bacteria of the skin, stomach, brain and spinal cord, lungs and urinary tract (Bladder and kidneys). Tobramycin can be a treatment for Cystic Fibrosis. What can Tobramycin harm? Tobbramycin can damage nerves and may cause some loss of hearing that can be permanent.
