a mix of stories by Ray Bradbury written in the late 1940s and released in 1950. The Story follows a futuristic period of time between 1999-2026 where Americans from the planet earth seek to immigrate and colonize the planet Mars. The collection of stories were quite different from each other but carried a common theme over a period of several decades. It was interesting to see Bradbury's futuristic perspective almost 50-75 years from the time he wrote the Martian Chronicles as we are now living the time period in which he wrote. The area of focus for me will be Martian Nature and how Bradbury created a story of Martians that were often very human like and in some cases quite different.

Bradbury makes references to music in the book of “Ylla” Dated Feb 1999. Bradbury notes “Mr and Mrs K were not old they had the fair brownish skin of the true Martian,The yellow Coin eyes,The Soft Musical Voices”. Also, In the book of Ylla, Ylla is quoted as saying While her husband sips his wine in his cold stare,”That song. That fine and beautiful song”. As Ylla closes her eyes and hums according to Bradbury. “I forgotten it. Somehow, I don't want to forget it. It’s something I want to remember.”Bradbury then states She moves her hands as rhythm might help her remember all of it. Then she laid back in her chair. “I can't Remember.”She began to cry. The music culture of the Martians continues in the book of “The Summer Night” In August of 1999. Bradbury makes reference to music flowing through Amphitheaters of 100 towns on the night side of Mars, The brown Martian people with gold coin eyes were leisurely met to fix their attention upon stages where musicians made a serene music flow up like blossom scent on still air.
