“As dawns rose red fingers rose above the endless sea,
I dreamed of my endless travels away from home, where many a brave man lost their life.
Then a shout from my crew awaked me as I opened my bleary eyes.
Spiriting out the door and cursing the gods for the misfortune of sleep striking again, I stopped in wonder as a figurer raised through the sky,
Hermes the giant killer, lightly landed on the ship, his golden winged shoes touching down on the cracked bow, with a grace only a god can manipulate.
“Odysseus, a man of twists and turns,
Athena tasked me with a message of great importance, a way to reach your long missed homeland of Ithaca’
“Do tell me, Hermes messenger of the gods” I whispered back, weeping with the new found hope of a return home,”

“But where will this path lead me me after all the grizzly tasks”
“To the home of the gods atop Mount Olympus, where your fate of recklessness will confront you.”
I sat down on the worn deck of my ship and said aghast,
No mortal could hope to fight or even persuade a God to help.”
I cried, giving up all hope right then of ever seeing my homeland.
As I pitied my crew and myself and sank into a trench of sorrow.”
Hermes turned his back on me and said, “It is your choice, but if your courage leads you on this quest, go to Taurus and jump.”
With those final words, he sped of into the fading light of the sun.
Now with all the courage in my weary heart I gave to order to my crew.
What awaits us is unknown, but if there is a chance me must capture it.
Turn the ship back into the winds, and sail swiftly back to the dead.
