Religion

In Canada there is one religion that makes up major portion of the country. This religion would be Christian with about 67% of the population following it. A few lesser practiced types of religions include Islam, Judaism, Buddhism, Hinduism, and numerous others. Another large group of Canadians, about 24%, have no religious belief. This number has increased from the amount in 1991 which included only about 3.4 million Canadians being Atheists.
Food And Eating The types of food that are commonly consumed in Canada are treats for us Americans. These foods would include pig meats, such as bacon and sausage, along with the tasty dessert of maple syrup. Canadians commonly eat bacon and other types of meat during every meal. The first meal of the day normally is not eaten in a group, unlike lunch and dinner, which both are eaten together as a family. The second meal of the day, lunch, is mostly eaten as a small meal, larger than breakfast, but smaller than dinner. The final meal of the day, dinner, is by far the largest meal of the day. During dinner, the most amount of meat is also consumed making up a large portion of the meal.

One of Canada’s favorite things to do is ice hockey. This professional sport draws in many fans from all across Canada. Though many people think of Canada as only having hockey, they do have Baseball, Soccer, Football, and many others that fans love to watch. In Canada they also have a unique way of life depending on where you live. In rural areas, homes are large and are commonly heated by wood stoves. However, in urban areas, lower-middle class Canadians live in small apartments, while richer Canadians live in large houses outside of large cities.
