This story is about a man named Jason, Madea’s husband, that has abandoned his wife, along with his two children. He hopes that everything goes right with Glauce ,who is the daughter Creon. He is the king of Corinth. Madea is heartbroken over the abandonment of Jason ,to the point where she curses her own existence. Madea then offers Jason's new wife, Glauce, a gift that is a coronet and a dress. Both are poisoned and causing her to die. Creon her father couldn’t stand to see death happen to her, so he decides to soak up that poison and dies beside her. Madea still goes on with her harshness plan to killing her children. When Creon approaches the house, he banishes her children and her from Corinth. This made Madea was ever angrier. What I found interesting about this story was Madea killing the kids. I do not understand how that has anything to do with getting revenge on Jason. Kids are suppose to mean everything to you , but in this case, I see that Madea was so angry to even sit and think about what she has done. Honestly, I was very frustrated. I didn’t understand why would she would punish her own children for Jason’s wrong doing. Before reading that I have read she poisoned her own father so I was puzzled for a minute about her killing her children. If she killed her father, what makes anyone think she won’t do it to any of her loved ones. What I liked about this story is that it pulled my attention close. I couldn’t believe how things went throughout the story. Her husband just marrying on. He continued on with another wife while madea was left with nothing, that was not right. In today's world there are arrangements similar to that situation. Therefore, it would have not went like that. Everything would have went to courts rights even how madea functioned with him just leaving the way he
