Hi, I am General Winfield Scott. I am a Union general in the early civil war. I came up with and proposed the anaconda plan in 1861. Before we get started Let me tell ya a bit about myself. I was born and raised in Virginia. I first participated in the war of 1812, so I have some knowledge of what war is all about. So The civil war broke out, and I was Abraham’s military advisor. So that basically means I think of tactics to win the war. One day I came up with the idea of the anaconda plan. My whole idea and thought behind this was to suppress the Confederacy.
