Anakin Skywalker is a character from the movie series Star Wars. Anakin was born a slave on the desert planet of Tatooine. As a young boy, he showed to have a well-rounded set of skills that include building his own droids and piloting a podracer. At the age of 9, Anakin met Jedi Master Qui-Gon Jinn when they(elaborate on they) arrived at the scrapyard at which Anakin worked(enslaved) looking for a new hyperdrive for their ship so that they could return home. The owner of the shop realized how desperate Qui-Gon was, and would only sell it to him at an outrageous price. After turning down the offer, Qui-Gon took interest in Anakin’s set of skills realizing his potential to become a great Jedi. Qui-Gon bet Anakin’s owner that Anakin would win the big pod race that was coming up (in exchange)for the hyperdrive part and Anakin‘s freedom from slavery. Anakin won the race receiving his freedom and the hyperdrive part Qui-Gon needed. Anakin was to be trained by Obi-Wan Kenobi. Obi-Wan became a great friend to Anakin and they would become two of the greatest Jedi to ever live.
