All children, young people, and their parents or carers have the right to respect and dignity. Suspicions and allegations have to be dealt with very sensitively. Supposed victims have to be taken serious and supposed perpetrators should be treated with respect as well as they are innocent until proven guilty
Some rights from the Convention on the Rights of the Child:
• Children’s best interests: The Government must make sure that children’s best interests are taken into account when any decision is made which affects them. All organisations working with children should work in a way that is best for children (article 3).

• Parent’s rights and right to family life: The Government must respect the rights of parents / family / carers to raise their children, where they are raising them in a way that respects their rights (article 5). Children also have the right to know and be cared for by their parents (article 5), and the government must make sure that children …show more content…
For children who have parents living in different countries, the Government must make sure that they can stay in regular contact with both parents (article 10).
