The Boys Who Do Not Accept Cruelty and Mistreatment
Thesis: In “Bless the Beasts and Children” by Glendon Swarthout, a group of boys at a camp watch a massacre at a range that would wound them, but they decide to set on a journey to free the buffalo that are still alive. TS: The boys’ actions were affected so much after the massacre because of what they saw happen. CD: For example, the boys return from their trip to the range and vomit because of it. CM: It gives them a sense of disgust as they think of what just happened. CM: The boys vomiting shows that what they saw makes them sick and regretful for watching such a horrendous situation. CD: In addition, “Lally 2 had taken off and they had to catch him” as a result of what he had seen.
