Elie Wiesel quote is very powerful and true. Ethical decisions are decided and influenced by the stories and people we encounter throughout our daily lives. My morals, recently have been affected by a story called KIte Runner by Khaled Hosseini. This story provided another perspective on how to view morality. A character in the story mentioned stealing as the rawest form of crime because when you commit certain crimes, you steal the right to something from someone, for example, killing is robbing someone’s right to live and lying is stealing one's right to the truth. This rationale was so unique and different that even since reading it, I have re-evaluated my moral principles. I try to be more mindful of robbing someone’s rights.
