Ezra Klein talks about how having Immigrants in America will help the Economy in “A Nativist Argument for Immigration”. He also talks about what Economists tells us about immigrants like how they “raise wages for the average native-born, they make things cheaper for us to buy, without immigrants jobs would move to other countries, and that Americans should allow for much more highly skilled immigration”(paragraph 3). Giovanni Peri, an economist at the University of California says that “the mistakes Americans make when thinking about the effect immigrants on our wages is that Americans imagine an economy in which the number of jobs is fixed” (paragraph 5). In Europe, low birthrates means fewer workers which also means less growth in the economy.
