In the poem “Green Chili” by Jimmy Santiago Baca the author shows us how he shows us his culture is hardworking, his identity shows him to be hispanic, and his family that comes together as they communicate. In the poem Green Chili he talks about how his grandmother serves him a meal of tortillas and green chilli. How the green chilli brings him and his grandmother together that shows him and his family coming together with the love for green chilli. But as he describes his identity he is showing how he is from new mexico and how he is hispanic. Baca shows how the men and women are sunburned from harvesting chilli in the sacks. As from my perspective of his culture of new mexicans are hard working and work together in a community of communication.
