Response to Literature
In the book “Homeless Bird”, by Gloria Whelan, the main character is Koly as a poor rural girl back in India. The story is about Koly, who had a premature arranged marriage in an Indian village in the old days, and later became widowed at 16. As you can see, Koly is facing the brutality of life. She endures, and this is shown, looking at these three pieces of evidence.
The first piece of evidence is when Koly shows her want to read, learn, and her curiosity.
