Introspection is a metacognitive ability where a person thinks about their own thoughts, feelings, and emotions. Furthermore introspection includes the ability to discriminate correct decisions from incorrect ones. Fleming, Weil, Nagy, Dolan, and Rees (2010) determined which area of the brain is correlated with introspection.
