In the passage of Michael Pollan’s book “Escape from the Western Diet ” issued in 2008, Pollan clearly states that there are various sustenance beliefs regarding the enormous amount of diseases that incredibly affected those who choose to eat a “Western Diet”. Although Pollan does oppose with these concepts that both the food and health companies are partly to blame for this. Pollan argues the food industry is responsible because they use multiple nutritional theories to allow new products to be sold. According to Denis Burkitt he states that the only way to avoid from people eating this unhealthy food is to “go backwards to the diet and lifestyle of our ancestors” As Pollan also stated that “eat foods that are less processed”. Well This
