Of the seven images cataloged Schiele’s Standing Girl in a Blue Dress and Green Stockings, is the most like Preacher, in terms of color, mood, and figural placement. The figure of the girl is not facing the viewer so her facial expression is one the viewer doesn’t have to analyze the piece. However, the body of the form which is mostly covered by an unzipped dress looks to be the same skinny form that is seen throughout Schiele’s work.
