There is always a right, a wrong, and a consequence for either one. Our actions determine the consequence and the right and wrong coincide with the good and the bad. In Jonathan Edwards's sermon, “Sinners in the Hands of an Angry God,” he explains that people are ruining their relationship with God and he shall soon send his wrath upon them henceforth. Therefore, calling out for repentance, God’s power, and eternal damnation.

People like to think that they do the right thing most of the time but sometimes it just does not happen. In that case people should repent and ask forgiveness of their sins (wrongdoings). In most cases this does not happen but, Edwards says, “ ‘Tis true that judgement against your evil work has not been executed…”
