People have failed to understand that the compromises of others’ lives also affect them in the long run. People have failed to understand that adulthood comes with frustrations, restrictions, and responsibilities. For the transformation to be effective, people should destroy their egos and be ready to soar whatever they chose. The revolt against civilization has existed in many countries. Until individuals learn to accept their cultural differences, the journey to civilization cannot be effective. I also agree with the author that civilization should not be accounted on the individual achievements, but the ability to correct their failures. This should be the start of a peaceful society (Morris 218).
There are people who constantly believe that benefits and comforts are immoral and destructive. This has been their way of thinking about civilization. In western societies, where people are believed to be intelligent, their way of civilization has also failed their humanity. Achievements are often taken for granted. Man’s natural state is ignorance rather than knowledge. This creates the notion that nothing is worth or requires attention because all good things come from the free gift of
