College athletes should be paid because college athletes put their bodies on the line every time

They play in a game and even when they practice. One injury could mess there chances of playing in a professional league. There are many examples of players who got hurt and they could not play that sport again. One big example of a player who got hurt and could not play Football after that injury is a guy named eric legrand. Eric legrand was a football player who played for rutgers university eric was a defensive tackle. When eric was on a kickoff he was going in for a tackle with his head down when he tackled the other player he laid there without moving. The trainers carted him off the field when he gotTo the hospital he was told that he was paralyzed from the neck down and was told he may never walk Again. Kevin Ware is still in college and hopes that he will get a chance to play in the NBA. This is why college athletes should get paid because if there injury was like Eric Legrand and they are not

able to play that sport again at least they could say that they got paid.

My second reason on why college athletes should be paid is because it will teach student athletes on how to manage money. If student athletes were getting paid they would know how to

Manage money when they get older because a lot of people don’t manage their money the right way. If college athletes start getting paid in college they would know how to manage money. So that way by the time they get to the professional league they would be use to managing money.

After players retire some of them go broke. The reason why I think retired players go broke is because they spend there money on unnecessary things for example expensive cars jewelry

Mansions and other expensive things. In my opinion that is how I think people go broke
