Life And ACKOMPLISHEMENTS OF MARTIN LUTHER KING Jr.

Martin Luther King Jr. was born on January 15, 1929 and died on April 4, 1968. His original name is Michael Luther King Jr. but was changed to Martin Luther King Jr., in memory of the famous German Protestant leader. He attended segregated public schools in Georgia graduating from high school at the age of fifteen. He went to college at Boston University and while in Boston he met and married Coretta Scott, a young woman of uncommon intellectual and artistic attainments. Martin and Coretta had two sons and two daughters.

The greatens achievement of Martin Luther King Jr. was being a leader of the American Civil Rights movement. He defended all the Black people in the United States of America and he also fought for the rights that they deserve. Martin Luther King was greatly and I mean greatly influenced by Howard Thurman who was a civil rights lieder.

In Memphis, Tennessee, Martin Luther King Jr. was staying in a Hotel ( Probably at a five star hotel) on April,4 1968, when Martin Luther King Jr. was on the balcony in room 306, at exactly 6:01 pm, he got shot (I’m thinking by some Gangsta snipers but that’s probably not correct) and the bullet got lodged in his shoulder and he was killed .

After the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr. led many riots in over 100 cities of the country of the United States of America. The assassin, James Earl Ray, was then captured just two months after the death of Martin
